A note on production

Modern Times (1936) directed by Charlie Chaplin • Reviews, film + cast • Letterboxd

Hello there sticky friends and foes!

Hoping that you're all doing well as we sprint towards environmental and political collapse seemingly at full speed.

This isn't about that, though. This is about production. Specifically, production of physical media here at Syrup Moose Records. I 100% acknowledge and understand that things may move a bit more slowly than with, well, any artist or label you've purchased from. I have set up the label in such a way that I'm able to do this without acquiring new debt, and this isn't going to be for everyone, and has result in some REALLY long waits.

I'd like to ask you though, from here on, if you have a question about the status of a cassette or something else: reach out to me. I've had a few bands reach out and let me know folks are asking them, and I want to take some of that burden off of artists if I possibly can. I'm one guy based out in Northern Canada managing all of the production side of the label, the bands aren't responsible for any delays. I do my best to keep everyone in the loop, but sometimes that doesn't happen - that's on me and only on me.

So, if you have questions about the status of your order, please feel free to send an e-mail to syrupmooserecords@gmail.com - I'm happy to chat and let you know where things are.

I realize that a lot of folks won't read this, and that's ok - I just want to reiterate: the length of time this takes has everything to do with the way I've structured the label. I, essentially, wait until I can cover production costs and then things get produced. In some cases, that takes way longer - and I can only apologize for that.

Thank you so much to everyone who continues to support SMR, the artists on the label, and of course the artists themselves for continuing to trust me, to work with me, and to kick just so much ass.

SUMMER OF THE FOOL

The Summer of the Fool is upon us, and you could reap the benefits. Orders that are SHIPPED from June 1st - August 31st, 2024 will have the possibility of receiving one of EIGHT “Magicians Fool” tarot cards. These cards can be redeemed for any one item from Syrup Moose Records.

That's right, anything.

Fucking. Anything. (except bundles)

Recipients will be chosen by the roll of a dice.

All cards must be redeemed by December 31st, 2024.
You can only ever get one. I'll be keeping track.

This applies to any and all orders that SHIP on the dates, so if you have an order from a year ago, but it doesn't ship until this frame, then you're in the running.

MEGAFAUNA's Ventator premieres on Sleeping Village Reviews

“Of course, some preparation is called for If you're invested in full experience, I highly recommend hiking into the deepest darkest forest you can reasonably find. Walk until you find a dilapidated shack, or perhaps a large pile of bones that look suspiciously familiar. Set up camp. Wait for dark, and then wait for your flashlight battery to die. Make peace with the fact that there is almost certainly something in the woods, and i̵̲̾͑̏t̷̜̝̳̏ ̸̼͝i̴͉̥̲̗͋̊s̵̨̬̹͙͓͕̿̈̉̔̌͠ ̵̡̭̜̩͌̈́̽͛̌̚ͅͅw̶̧̹̮̯̌̈ą̴̹̼̮̼̖́̆̑͆̓͝t̵̨̨͇̺̂̇̇̅͆̋͜͠c̶̢̧̻̞̈́̓͝ḥ̶̢͐̉̄̓̓̋i̷̦͈̠̎̇̊͂̔͠n̵̼͛g̴̨̮͉̲̠͆.”
